Group Classes

We currently offer Group Classes through North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital and The Meadows Bed and Biscuit. Group Classes are a great way to introduce your dog to basic obedience and make new friends! Classes last six weeks and are an hour per week. Class size is limited to 4-8 dogs to give each owner and dog personal attention. Classes currently offered:

1. S.T.A.R PUPPY PRESCHOOL
Puppy preschool is designed for puppies from 10wks to 20wks. The class incorporates the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program and exam. The class is taught in one hours sessions and lasts six weeks. The class meets all the program requirements and the exam is given during the last class. Socialization is emphasized and discussed. Puppies are introduced to supervised play time with their classmates. Topics covered include such commands as sit, down, loose-leash walking and leave-it, common behavioral issues and your puppy's needs. This class introduces the owner and puppy to training and prepares them to continue with further training. Classes meet at North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital

2. BASIC OBEDIENCE 101
Basic Obedience is for dogs ages 5 months and older. This class introduces your dog to the basics of obedience. Topics include canine development, common behavioral issues, and commands such as sit, down, stay, come and heel. This class uses fun demonstrations and games to teach while building a strong relationship between owner and dog. This class is ideal for dogs who are ready to learn basic commands as well as dogs who need a refresher course. Classes meet at North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital.

Crazy Daisy Dog Training also offers Basic Manners 102 in conjunction with Well-Heeled Dogs and The Meadows Bed and Biscuit. These classes will meet at The Meadows Bed and Biscuit for one hour a week for six weeks.

3. Basic Manners 2
This class is designed as a step up from Basic Obedience 101. Distraction and distance will be introduced. Reliability to basic commands will be strengthened. This classes uses fun games and exercises to reinforce obedience. New behaviors will be introduced such as targeting and find it! Prerequisite: Basic Obedience 101 or Instructor's prior approval. A minimum of 4 dogs is required for this class.

4. Canine Good Citizen Prep
Canine Good Citizen Prep is designed for owners and their dogs that are ready to prepare to take the AKC CGC test, as well as those that are looking to practice the skills learned in Basic Obedience 101 or Basic Manners 1 classes. Class sessions are 6 weeks long and meet for one hour per week.This class applied basic commands to every day situations as well as practice for the AKC CGC test. Owners and dogs that take this class may choose to take the CGC test at no additional charge. A minimum of 4 dogs is required for this class. This class meets at The Meadows Bed and Biscuit. Prerequisite: Basic Obedience 101, Basic Dog Manners, Advanced Dog Manners or Prior Instructor Approval.

CRAZY DAISY DOG TRAINING WILL BE PERFORMING THE CANINE GOOD CITIZEN EXAM AT THE MEADOWS BED AND BISCUIT ON JUNE 13, 2011 FROM 6:30PM-8:30PM!!! IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TAKING THIS TEST, PLEASE EMAIL JEN STERKA AT INFO@CRAZYDAISYTRAINING.COM FOR FURTHER INFORMATION AND REGISTERATION.
